Alice Springs - West MacDonnell Ranges

Off at more gorge gaping today, turned out to be a fair ol' drive really. First stop was at the Standley Chasm.

Then on to Ellery Creek Bighole, where there was actually water! So different walking along the base of dry creeks and river beds.

Then off to what is the highlight of the day, Ormiston Gorge where we did a quick walk up (and up) to the lookout, then you can have quick walk down to the water edge. Looked pretty popular for camping too. Saw our first dingo here (from the lookout)

Took a longer drive to Tylers Pass Lookout, where you can make out Gosse Bluff which is a metorite/comet impact site. There were other places to visit along this road but these were the ones recommended at the information centre, and it turned out you would need a bit longer than most of the day to visit all of them.
