Bungle Bungle Flight & Ord River Cruise

Busy day today and early morning start. The sun wasn't even up when we left at 5:15am. It was worth it to fly over Lake Argle, Texas Downs cattle station, and Bow River cattle station, the Bungle Bungles and the Argle diamond mine. WOW. Better yet, One of us got the co-pilot seat at the front of the plane :)

After all that excitement, we had a few hours before we went on our bus/boat tour of the Ord River. We left from Kununurra to the Durack homestead (the original that was relocated before the Lake was filled) and on to Lake Argle and across the dam wall. Then a cruise 55km down the Ord River back to Kununurra arriving at sunset. Great views all the way, with wildlife and scenic vistas. The boat had three huge 350HP V8 outboards (1050HP total), fifty people on board and it berely reached 1/2 throttle in some of the faster sections.
