El Questro

Headed off the tarmac for a few days to El Questro. Well partially off tarmac, it turns out this is the year they are sealing this end of the Gibb Rd to the turn off to El Questro. We still got to use the 4WD though after the turn off, with 2 river crossings (including the Pentacost) and many a corrugation, plus a short inpromtu visit to the start of Saddleback lookout. (We think it should remain accessible by saddleback, not necessarily this vehicle!)

After a pretty cold night, compared to what it had been, we went off to Amalia Gorge. Nice views, pretty difficult path after the first half - ledges with sheer drops or water below and climbing.

Yep, there is actually a trail in the above and below pictures!

Off after our bolder climbing we went to see the warm Zebedee Springs, in a rainforest area.

In the afternoon had a relaxing time on a boat cruise down the Chamberlain Gorge, with fish feeding and 'some' champers.

Next day, packed up and headed to Emma Gorge, via another river crossing. This time the waterfall was still trickeling down and was quite a nice way to spend the morning.
